Col. John W. Thomason Jr.'s Inter-War Period Marines
Col. Thomason, during the inter-war period between WW I and WW II, served in Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua and commanded the Marine Detachment stationed aboard the cruiser, USS Rochester. He turned these experiences into Scribner produced stories with their accompanying Thomason illustrations. The best of these are found in the book, ...and a Few Marines
